3-1 Atlanta Hawks? We'll Take It.
When the week started, Atlanta Hawks fans were mostly excited about the T.I. concert after the game against Seattle Sonics on Friday. But last night, King James came into town and the Hawks sent him and the Cavaliers packing with an overtime loss. I think Lebron was a little bitter about the loss because he just walked off the floor with seven seconds left on the clock. I won't let Lebron's haterism suppress my excitement that the Hawks made Sportscenter during the first 59 minutes of the show!
I have to give them some love for a good start to the season. Maybe the news that the WNBA may be coming town put some fear in them. Deep in my heart, I know our first place standing in the division won't last, so I have to enjoy it while I can. In truth, the Hawks are deep with young talent. (Let me be the first to tell you how nice ZaZa Pachulia is.) We should have made the playoffs last year in such a weak conference. However, the coaches, the ownership and the fans are resigned to accepting 5 win improvements each season. That's obviously not enough when you're starting at 20 wins. But no matter.. We celebrate today here in the A!
