Please leave. We'll cover your expenses. Just go...

Jeff Bowden, offensive coordinator of the Florida State Seminoles, resigned from his position earlier this week. But it didn't come cheap. It turns out he was paid an astonishing $537,000 (plus his $100K+ salary) to resign. But Florida taxpayers and donors don't worry, the boosters skimmed the money from concessions, primarily Coca-Cola. While I sympathize with the Florida State faithful for not reaching a championship game since 2000, you have to admit this is pretty hard core. Bowden is now in the Larry Brown class of money grabbers. And to think, for a few hours I believed that Jeff felt ashamed about the criticism and decided to take the heat off of his head coach/father, Bobby Bowden, by resigning with some dignity for the greater good. Yeah, I was tripping.
