Michael Strahan is a Jerk
Breaking news, I know.
Today, New York Giants asshole Michael Strahan proudly proclaimed that he wasn't going to apologize to ESPN reporter Kelly Naqi after he screamed on her for snitching on him to wide receiver Plaxico Burress. Strahan said:
Am I going to apologize? No. I don't think there's a reason for me to apologize.
And if anybody's waiting for me to apologize and they're holding their breath,
then I suggest they call a paramedic because it's not going to happen.
I can think of a couple of reasons Strahan should apologize. He should apologize to any person on the end of that tirade - male or female.
First of all, his rant was completely baseless. Strahan maintains that Naqi was stirring the pot, but she was, in fact, reporting what Strahan actually said. How can Strahan be mad at Naqi for what he said?
Additionally, if Strahan was genuinely mad at Naqi, did he really have to scream on her on national television? If Strahan expects more dignity from the media, he should also carry himself in a dignified manner. He could have easily had the same conversation privately.
And, not to mention, Naqi may deserve to be treated differently because she is a woman. And not because she can't take it, because I'm sure she can deal with it. However, I'm not surprised that a man who treated his own wife like crap would feel justified in this position. I guess he doesn't hold doors or pull out chairs for ladies either. And if Strahan doesn't want to apologize to Naqi, he doesn't have to. But I'll take note of the type of man he is.

Michael Strahan used to get a pass from me because he went to Texas Southern and because I have a soft spot for the Giants because my ex is a Giants fan and I have a certain hatred for both the Cows and the Skins (having now spent multiple years in each area)
Then I saw his wife...and his..um...friend...and now this.
He was right to call out Plax...He was a punk to act like he didn't when she asked him about it.
Now hes just annoying.
And to think HES responsible for Jim Jones getting shine in the NFL.

Regardless of if Strahan was right to call out Plaxico or not, it took zero stones to do it throug the media vs. face-to-face. And given the cowardice displayed in that act, it's no surprise to me he's not willing to apologize to Kelly Naqi. So I say, Fuck 'em. Although not literally because he might like that. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
I think so much violence and rage must occur on the football field that a player sometimes forgets that in civilized society we don't usually just yell at people.
But I know what I think of a guy who starts yelling and bullying a human being in front of a large group of people. Scumbag is what I think.
