Hoya Update

I haven't posted one of these in a while...

I haven't been ducking, but I was genuinely confused about the Hoya's journey this season. We would win a few, then lose to a sucky team like Old Dominion. We went from pre-season #8 to being unranked. But I have peeked my head out from the covers and it turns out we are doing okay. We have returned to the AP Poll (#22, baby!) and we defeated Louisville 73-65 Tuesday night.

The Hoyas played a solid game on the road. Georgetown controlled the game all the way through. The Cardinals never had the lead in the second half. The Hoyas shot 56% from the field. Our star player, David Hibbert recorded a double/double - 20 points, 11 rebounds. Indeed, he intimidated the Louisville players, who became increasingly afraid to challenge Hibbert in the paint. The team shot a few too many air balls for my taste, but it's all good.

I think the Hoyas may have gotten a little used to winning by double digits lately, but this game was a nice gut check before we face Marquette on Saturday.

Go Hoyas

I was wondering what was up with the Hoyas this year. I expect them to be a beast in the tourney this year.
