Scorned Bridget

It's not exactly breaking news anymore that Bridget Moynahan has named Tom Brady the father of her unborn baby. Most of the reaction has been focused around Tom, but I wonder what Bridget is going through.

Make no mistake that the pregnancy announcement was a ploy for attention, either just for fame or for Tom.

Bridget was underweight when her and Tom broke up and reportedly depressed about it the end of their 3 year relationship.

And what 36 year old woman wouldn't be thrilled that her ex was brazenly cavorting with some thong wearing supermodel who barely speaks English. The same supermodel who was triumphed by the gossip world as an "upgrade". While Bridget is battling morning sickness, Tom is in Paris attending horse shows with his new hot thing. And given the timing of the relationship, there was probably overlap between Gisele and Bridget.

It was known that Bridget wanted a family and you can't rule out the possibility she deliberately got pregnant in a last ditch effort to cling to the relationship.

There's still hasn't been any comment by Tom. You'd think he would express his happiness about the child, maybe express some concern for Bridget. But no, he's pulling an Eddie Murphy.

It's always unfortunate when children are born under less than ideal circumstances. I hope Tom and Bridget can find a way to be dignified for the sake of their child. Nonetheless, Tom might want to scale back on the gallivanting. Any baby daddy in the Patriots locker room will let him know that flaunting the new chick is not the key to smooth relations with the baby mama. Supermodels come and go for the dreamboat, but it looks like he may be stuck with Bridget for the next 18 years.
